The Importance of Sleep

I have taken this particular subject apart from all others because of the incredible importance that sleep has on our health and the ability to stay active. Having enough sleep will give you the strength to perform your daily activities without crashing in the middle of the day or getting unusually stressed out.

In regard to exercising in many cases, feeling sleepy after exercise is a sign that you’ve pushed yourself too hard. people have the tendency to either not workout at all or pushing themselves so hard in a workout that they ended up not being able to move the day after.

It is important to approach fitness in irrational matter, for stress from working out can be as difficult as stress from work family issues, money issues and another daily pressures. If you don’t get good restful sleep at night and decide to work out the next morning, that afternoon, or at night you will be running at high risk of injury and unusual tiredness. While post-workout sleepiness is caused by the body’s natural response to physical activity, lack of sleep a night before the workout will most likely make you crash during the day.

For those that don’t workout even performing your daily activities can make you so extremely tired that a couple hours into the day you feel like taking a nap. Lack of sleep may lead to depression, panic attacks, irrational behavior, lack of understanding, an unusual aggressiveness.

Regardless of how good your nutrition is, how active you are or how often you work out, your ability to keep a positive outlook and get the best results on any activity, project, job, or personal relations will be impaired by lack of sleep. During sleep your body regenerates, your muscles grow, your cells repair, making rest one of the most important aspects in a person’s life.
