Rules on Vitamins

Certain rules must be followed to accomplish success in simple nutrition and overall fitness giving you the right formula for WEIGHT LOSS and how to finally maintaining it without problems.

Rules on Vitamins

  1. Vitamins are only food supplements; don’t ever take vitamins on an empty stomach.
  2. It is useless to have a “garbage filled” diet and randomly take vitamins.
  3. The rule, that “if one is good then a lot is better” does not apply when taking vitamins.
  4. Be careful because the “one magic pill” may very well be the “one tragic pill”.
  5. Learn to be “in touch” with your body needs, because certain symptoms and cravings are the body communicating with you to let you know what it is deficient in.
  6. Stop listening to media hype on the “great new discovery” that will solve all your problems.
  7. There is no such thing as one “pill” fixes all; one “drink” fixes all, one “food’ fixes all.
  8. There are “water soluble” vitamins and “oil soluble” vitamins.

Water Soluble Vitamins

  • B-complex vitamins and vitamin C are water-soluble vitamins and are not stored in the body. While they must be replaced each day, one must be careful to maintain the proper intake balance.
  • Water-soluble vitamins are easily destroyed or washed out during food storage and preparation and are released by the body quicker according to tour daily activities and stresses.
  • You must be careful with over-dosing or mega-dosing.

Fat Soluble Vitamins

  • Vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, and vitamin K. Small amounts of fat soluble vitamins are needed to maintain good health.
  • The body does not need these vitamins every day. Fat soluble vitamins are stored in the liver and fat (adipose) tissue when not used.
  • You must be careful with randomly taking vitamin supplements, for most people need very little or no vitamins outside their daily diet.
  • Fat-soluble vitamins in foods will not be lost when the foods that contain them are cooked.
  • Mega-doses of vitamins A, D, E, or K can be toxic and lead to health problems.

What does the body want and how do we satisfy that without allowing the mind to interfere is the question that needs to be resolved.- hector sectzer
